Actress Alia Bhatt says his upcoming romantic comedy “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” is not a continuation of the successful 2014 “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” but both are certainly part of a franchise. “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” also stars Varun Dhawan, was a love story between a young energetic Ambala nice girl and a boy carefree Delhi.
Alia says while “Ki Dulhania Badrinath” is also a love story, setting and characters are different from the first film.

“The film is not a sequel, not a sequel. It’s a franchise. It’s a different story, have another person and Dulhania with a thread that is a love story,” he told PTI Alia in an interview.
At 23 years old, “Kapoor and Sons” actress is pleased to return to work not only with Varun, but also director Shashank Khaitan, who directed the first film.
“It’s great to be back with the whole team. There are not only Varun but also our director Shashank, the cinematographer is the same, the sound designer is the same … It’s like working with family.”
The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
