Opposition leaders discuss Panama commission TORs


LAHORE: Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Tuesday held consultations on the formulation of the terms of reference (TOR) for the judicial commission.
The opposition is increasing pressure on the PML-N government for consultation on the terms of reference for a body headed by the president of Pakistan to investigate leaks alleged Papers Panama that offer foreign assets of the Sharif family.
Both the JI and PTI was begun campaigns against corruption, the announcement of demonstrations and protests in different cities.
According to our correspondent, Syed Khursheed Shah PPP and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned JI Siraj-ul-Haq today and discussed strategy to evolve consensus on the terms of reference.
It was reported that representatives of the opposition parties are likely to meet in Islamabad on May 2 to discuss future course of action.
