ASHGABAT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday arrived in Ashgabat on an official two-day visit to Turkmenistan.
He was received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan at the airport.
During his stay, the Prime Minister will attend the international conference held in Ashgabat to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan. A number of Heads of State and Government have confirmed their attendance at the Conference.
The prime minister also participate in the ground breaking ceremony of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project with Turkmenistan and Afghanistan President and Vice President of India.
In its bilateral with President of Turkmenistan interactions, Prime Minister sould prospect of Pakistan’s actions on important developments affecting peace and security in the region and reiterated Pakistan’s keen desire to maintain and expand bilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan in trade, energy and defense.
It will also hold a bilateral meeting with the President of Turkey.
